Maybe she can try traveling with other short companions, then when they need to reach things they can form a human pyramid?

I'm sure they don't have what your looking for. I was thinking if you put in shorter lift support cylinders then the hatch won't open fully allowing you to add cargo. Maybe have a small foldable portable step stool in the cargo area?

Try this: when she opens the hatch, have a cord in the cargo area she can hook onto the hatch, then let it open all the way. When she wants to close it, she can use the cord to pull it down. BUT just so she doesn't shut the hatch with the cord dangling out, she'll have to unhook it and stow it in the cargo area, ready for the next time she needs it.
