Honda Odyssey Accident

I'm planning to buy a pre-owned Honda Odyssey
Touring. I found one that I liked but it has an accident
claim in its history. It says a front collision with claim
of  CAD $9,000 (around $8K in US I think). How do I
know if that accident compromised it's body and
performance now or in the future? Someone told me
an accident may make the car weaker especially if
another (knock on the wood!). Is that true?

All accidents compromise the body, in my opinion it will never be the same and i would stay away from it...
