how do i turn of the check engine light on my 96' i30

Just fixed a misfire issue and want to turn off the check engine light.   How do I go about
doing this?
I pulled the ECCS & ECCS2 fuses, didn't work.  Then pulled battery cables and let stand
for a few minutes,  held neg and poss together for about 15 secs and reassembled.   this
did not turn the light off.   Any help would be great.

go to autozone or any major autoparts store that will read codes and have them use their code reader to turn off the code. If the code comes back, you may still have an issue.
