Question type: General

Can the car run without the key fob inside? WE went on a long car trip and lost the keys somewhere along the way ( so we think) but the car kept running?

Yes. The key fob only relates to keyless entry features and does not have any bearing on keeping the car running. The key itself may contain a chip in the head of the key which communicates with the vehicle and allows it to start. The fob merely locks and unlocks the doors and sets the alarm.

my fx35 2005 will start some tmes and then all of sudden will not start again
