Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2001 Saturn SL1 will not start. Even tried to pull to start since it has a manual transmission. No sputter at all. It ran good when driven last.  Battery and connections are clean and good. Bought this new and this is first time it won't start.

YOu have to give more info to get a good answer. Standard or auto? Assuming you turned the key, did it crank? or just silence? If it is a standard transmission veh. the clutch must be pushed to the floor. If a floor mat is stopping your pedal, get it out of the way and try again. How about you give us some more info.and we can tell you how to proceed further with narrowing down your problem.

The 2001 Saturn SL1- 1.9 engine is a 5 speed Manual transmission. I tried to pull start it by popping the clutch and it will not even sputter. The battery is good and cables are clean and good. The engine cranks when you turn the key but to me it sounds like no gas is getting to the engine.
