Toyota comes to mind, maybe a Corolla, but really, the condition of your car (low miles, one owner, all receipts for service, etc.) is more important than the brand-

I agree, toyotas and hondas are GENERALLY indestructible. We ran an older civic with NO OIL for a few hours til it ran out of gas to see what would happen and put oil in it and it was perfectly fine. I would steer clear of any GM vehicle with v6 from late 90s to early 2000s as they had massive gasket problems and coolant related isues I havent seen many in my life that have not required new head gaskets.generally the 3500 v6 engines arent as prone to problems though. Any year Ford Taurus is a very strong reliable car too and also very cheap. First generation vibes and the matrix are very reliable, I had mine for 9 years in perfect condition until some idiot texting hit me head on at 50mph while i was also doing 50mph...with that said they are VERY safe too. I walked away with no injuries.

The vibe is perfect. You get the Toyota reliability for the Pontiac price. I've had two of them. What did you end up getting?
