power sliding door botton on remote does not work, how to reprogram?

all other buttins work, but power door slide button does not work when pushed! 2007 Pontiac Montana Sv6

if the power door works with an inside switch then the button on the remote may have simply stopped working. If the power slideing door doesnt work at all then there is something wrong with the motor
