how do you remove the OnStar fuse from a Pontiac Montana 1996

I doubt it is that easy. Most likely the Onstar fuse is shared with other things. Do an internet search on how to disable Onstar.

The fuse was found and in the panel box, it was noted as Onstar. I removed the fuse charged the battery and all is fine. I don't know why but I can't keep that fuse in because it drains my battery.

Was anything else indicated to be run through that fuse? Check all accessories that use the fuse to find out which one is sucking power when the car is off. Maybe your Onstar is the problem and needs to be replaced or maybe another lamp or feature.
