what is the difference between avapor canister vent solenoid and evap fuel tank vent valve?

i changed the vapor canister vent solenoid.

ones under the hood and ones buy the gas tank...hope that helps.

Kelly is right... but just to add.. when you put gas in the tank the pressure sensor opens the vent to let the fumes out - in to the canister. The fumes pass through the charcoal and are absorbed and when the car is started the canister purge valve is opened to run the fumes back through intake. This shows Kellys correct answer .... not your car but example
