Whats wrong with my Lights? is it eletrical?

i own a 1988 4cyl Pontiac 6000. when i have my headlamps on and i break two strange
things happen. 1. the reverse light comes on. 2.the passenger side brake light comes on
for 3 seconds then goes out. Whats the deal? and how can i fix it?

You lost the ground connection to the sockets. Power is backfeeding through the reverse lights. Find the black wire. Splice a new wire onto it. Put the new wire under a body screw. Check your lights.
