Intermidate leaking on transmission fluid

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

OK, I'm a chick and can do basic car
maintenance. I know how to check my oil,
water, etc. I have a 96 olds cutlass ciera in
moderate shape. It has had issues.
Currently, it is occasionally leaking
transmission fluid. That is to say, it runs for
weeks, then throws up all over the carport. I
added bars leak stop, same thing, ran with
top fluid level over a month, then lost it all. I
know it's an issue and needs repair, but I
am unable at the moment. Can anyone
please just explain this to me? No one I ask
has any idea why it would leak in that
fashion. *I've read it may relate to the seal
on the pan...?? Thanks.

Need new seals on oil pan if that's where it's leaking frm if not could be the trainee lines.

Many thanks for the response. :-) A little more info, I typically park at an incline (backed in) and it seems that is when the leak occurs. I tried parking (inclined forward, "pulled in), but found that made no difference...
