swap 96 engine with 2000both are legacy wagon

only if they are both the same motor, you need to make sure that they are both either dual over head cam or single over head cam and both either 2.2 liter or 2.5 liter, if they aren't the same liter or cam style you'd have to change ECU's and wiring harnesses too which is more trouble than it's worth.
