The new Subaru Forester XT.

Consumer Reports says the Forester has many excellent attributes and ranks it very high for small SUVs. Lots of other manufacturers have as good reliability, traction, and value (Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Mazda, etc). But from my experience, I can tell you that you will probably be disappointed with other small SUVs for comfort and visibility.

The Mazda Cx-5 is fairly close in specification to the Forester but not a turbo and probably the better car as well.

The reviews of the CX-5 are glowing. The Forester is treated like last weeks meatloaf.
