Why won't my 1994 Grand Marquis start?

Asked by PapaGrizzly Feb 12, 2014 at 10:26 AM about the Mercury Grand Marquis

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I replaced the battery in the car yesterday morning, along with a cracked battery
terminal. The car started right away, with no trouble. I drove the car, made a couple
stops, shutting it off at each stop, and had no issues with it starting again. This
morning it was very cold in my area, but the car started with no problems, I drove aprox.
5 miles, and stopped for a cup of coffee, When I got back into the car, it would not
start. All lights are bright, but when I turn the ignition key, nothing happens. Where
should I start looking?

Do the head lights dim when you try to start it?
