The car was making a grinding sound when
u go to start it and then it drained the battery
when I went to jump it the cables got hot
enough they were smoking and threw sparks

Did you hook up the cables properly? You probably fried some wires or components. Have a mechanic look the car over so it can be properly diagnosed and repaired.
