FORD transmission problems

Asked by GuruPF56Z Jan 27, 2020 at 05:17 PM about the Ford Focus

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

issues with my 2012 Focus.   Jerky transmission.    I took to dealer, and they
replaced the TCM module.  Test drove and still same problems - so they
replaced the TCM module again ... afterwards they said it drove ok for a few
minutes, then same problems came back.   Dealer said at first they were
getting errors p07a TCM friction a stuck & p2872 TCM clutch 1 stuck ... then
after the 2nd installed TCM they got different errors (p087b & p287a).

They said they've done all they can thats covered under warranty, and that to
have it looked at anymore is out of my pocket $.

MY question is - if the car is giving out TCM errors, shouldn't the diagnosing
of problems be covered still under extended warranty?
