Transmission conversation

Asked by John Eric Jul 20, 2019 at 02:47 PM about the Ford F-250 Super Duty

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello, I would appreciate it if someone can help
me. I have a 95 Ford f250 super duty 4wd, I found
basically the exact same vehicle with far fewer
miles, the only difference is the doner is 2wd.
My question is what is the difference between the
2wd and 4 wd transmission and does anyone
make a conversion kit if in fact there is a
difference?

Thanks

You may be able to swap out transmission tail shafts to use the 2WD transmission with the transfer case.
