Can I put the factory 20" tires and wheels from my 2010 F150 on a 2017 F150

I am trading my 2010 F150 Lariet with factory 20" tires and wheels for a 2017
Lariet with 18" tires and wheels. I'd like to swap them but the dealer says due
to a difference in the offset because of the body style change it can't be done.
Is he full of bs?
