I have a 2015 Ford F150. The temperature gauge on the dash will say -40 and then bump up to 50 and stay at 50. The check engine light is on as well. Any ideas on what could be causing this???

Sounds like a faulty temp sensor. Since the CEL is on, scan for the codes to verify.
