2009 Ford F-150 truck will crank but will not start
Work truck will crank continously with key in but will not start. After approximately three hours, it will start. Generally happens in the morning after it sits up over night. Ford dealership has not clue.....Any ideas???
could this be a problem with the firing system or computer. seems to be electronic problem.
I'm having same problem. Dealer cant figure it out. By the time a mechanic gets to it, it starts. Did you ever get an answer?
Did you find an solution for this problem? My 09 F150 won't start in the morning after it runs fine all day. It will start around noon
Ford finally fixed problem. traced problem to a overheat (blown) fuse for the fuel pump relay, fuel pump, and f.driver module
Bros F150 blows fuse every few months. Cannot locate cause. Autonation Ford says tough bananas. Truck was taken in before warranty ran out
I have been having the same problem for 3 yrs now. Every winter or when it is cold my 2000 Expedition (5.4) sometimes usually in the morning, will not start. I know the fuel pump is not coming on and I know that I have to turn the Ignition on and off again and again until I hear the fuel pump come on. Then it starts right up. This year when I hear the fuel pump come on I start it and sometimes it runs for a few seconds and dies and sometimes it starts and runs fine. I really need to fix it but still not completely sure what it is.

Had this problem today. Called butler Ford the#27 fuse 20 amp.there is a tech bulletin on this to relocate it.
That was way too easy #27 was the ticket been dealing with this for months . 4.6 2009 f150 fuse was actually melted .

I had the same problm i changed the fuse and now my truck runs rough but idles smooth.??
Me, too. #27 had carbon buildup on the contacts, fuse not open though. Replacing fuse did the treat. Thanks all!

FOlks, Im an electrical engineer, fuses blow because the relay contacts get carbon and create more resistance. replace the fuse it will occur again. replace the fuse and relay and your new for another 100k. do you want this to occur again?
My concern is a fuse is in place for a reason and for it to be burning up like that is a issue. Just now mins ago went through the same issue easy fix but what happens when it burns up. My question is why is this happening (I have a few theories) and how do i correct it
Don't know if you got an answer but what this person advised worked for my husband's 2010 Ford F150 (Change the fuse & relay)! #27 was also the problem on my 2009 5.4 F150. There was so much carbon, I couldn't get it out. Once I replaced the fuse, it started right up. Thanks a lot, I. B,
Just had the same fuse #27 problem. Thanks so much to all of you for helping me find the problem. My fuse had actually melted. Had to take it out in little pieces with wife's tweezers. Since I'm not an engineer, why does changing the relay keep the fuse from blowing? Mark
