1994 Ford F150 Won't start with key

Asked by Marquesray Feb 23, 2014 at 10:17 AM about the Ford F-150

Question type: General

The truck would start I would drive it for a while park get back in and it would not start.
Jump start didn't work, towed it home.  Two days later fired right up. Drove it around
brought it back home turned it off and no start again. The ignition lock cylinder was
spinning since I acquired it so I replaced it. I have replaced the battery, the starter, the
solenoid, and the ignition switch. I can get the engine to fire up with a screw driver at
the starter but not at the key. Engine will run but will die when I put it into to drive now.
Reverse OK not drive.  Help Please... Thanks

Possibly a faulty neutral safety switch. Also check siliniod for power when key is in start position.

I picked up Neutral safety switch and will check silinoid...thanks
