I have a 2013 Ford Explorer Sport with 3.5 Ecoboost motor. Will a motor from a 2015 fit?
The engine had a lot of carbon build up and caused the fuel injectors stick. I
got those fixed and I have nothing but problems with it ever since. I was
advised by shop to change my fuel grade and also put a cleaner supplement
when fueling. I did this and now the motor, turbo's and the catalytic
converter are all toast. Note: I only have 69,000 + miles on this motor! The
extended warranty people will pay $1900.00 towards the repair. The cost of
the repair is at $13,000.00. I am a single mom with no extra income and
need some help! The shop told me if I could find a salvage motor it would be
much cheaper. I have found a 2015 explorer sport with the same motor 3.5
Ecoboost, but I don't know if this will work. Can someone please help with
this question?
