My reset button on my panel is all the way down and I have to use a screwdriver to pop it back up does it need to stay up or does it need to stay down or is something wrong with it if it stays down when you push it down please help I'm stranded and Temple Georgia off of Rainey Road and something

My SUV Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer 1998 4 by 4 all wheel drive has went dead on me I cleaned the battery post clean the cables crank it back up run for a few minutes and then shut off now all it does is click click click tried to jump it off still just barely turns over but clicks clicks clicks anybody know what's wrong with it I can't figure it out and I'm a half-ass good mechanic but I figured this one out I did have a little lifter ticking but it didn't make any ratchet or anything when it shut off so I don't know what to do stuck here in Temple Georgia off of Rainey Road white SUV name is Randy Hale.dreamwebb321nuhu213.rh@gmail.com
