removing rotors to turn
What are you asking? You want to turn down the rotors on a lathe? Yes, then you have to remove them. Some shops have equipment to do it on the car when it's up on a lift. I personally would replace the rotors with the new pads, they don't cost all that much and you won't run into vibration issues and replacing the rotors again.
Yup, agree with Tom. Replace the rotors.
Not hard to do. After removing the wheel you remove the two bolts that hold the caliper on. Support the caliper so it does not dangle on the hose and then pull off the rotor.
