Are OEM brake pads ceramic?

Well first off, there is no one type of OE pad for every vehicle...you'd have to ask this question along with Year Make and Model. But to my knowledge, *most* OEM brake pads are not ceramic. Ceramic is usually a higher-end brake pad that may be OEM on some german vehicles for example, but your average Ford likely comes with another type of pad, perhaps a semi-metallic.
