driving and engine just stops no cough no rattle just dead . now not getting any fuel . i had the fuel pump replaced a year ago but the symptoms were different. any help?

ideas?  its a 89 350 3/4 ton

would that kill the engine while its running? i'm seriously asking cause i haven't a clue . and thank you for the response
