Ford e150 conversion 4.6 transmission

The transmission went out and when going to pull
one from the junkyard I am wondering about my
options. According to repair manuals this is  a
4r70w and there are several other models with that
matching transfer like the excursion. Would there
be an issue with this or can we just get one that
has this same trans?

You don't say what year your van is but I think the 1/2 ton trucks had different transmissions than the Super Duty trucks. I would stick with the same thing as you have now.
