what would make the window s not work but master switch will work them

the windows in my 2004 crown victoria r front& both rear dont work from individual swicthes only the master works

It may be locked,check the main switch for lock switch.

If it was locked the master on the drivers door would only open the drivers window. I would guess the switches in the doors are bad or the wires are corroded.

tst was referring to the master switch that locks the door switches except for the drivers door window. I may have been wrong to presume you checked it out first before you wrote in. The only way, if that is not the problem, is to remove the door panels and check out each switch. Probably some corrosion or loose connection.
