36 to 42 psi vacuum disconnected. Hold pressure is 26 psi.....http://mechdb.com/index.php/Ford_Contour_specifications

vacuum disconnected at the fuel pressure regulator.

Terry, doing a Google search will lead you to the fuel pressure regulator and there seem to be several "YouTube" videos regarding it also.
