how to open hood

What model year? There should be a lever under the dash on the drive side to pop the hood. Then pull the hood up slightly with one hand as you undo the latch with the other hand between the hood and grill. Once it releases you can push the hood up and use the hood prop, if there is no lift support, to keep it up from falling down
