how to stop engine from over heating

radiator is new and there are no leaks in the pipes whatsoever an water in coolant reserve seems to boil when car overheats

The thermostat may be stick closed causing the car to over heat.

Try a new reserve cap. A leaking cap will not hold the pressure and the coolant will boil.

If it is overheating after the coolant system is full and circulating, then it's possibly a leaking head gasket.
