On a 95 toyota t100 man. trans can i undo the elbo on the trans and pull out
speedometer cable from housing oil it and replace it?

Sure no problem.

does not go directly into the speedometer, but goes to a position resolution gearbox~ mine stopped working and it was the fault of the speedometer~, not the cable...have since got another that has the tachometer, temp, oil pressure and gas level all built in~...and a tachometer too (that I never had)~ and trip-odometer too~
