what year mustang? If older than '93. then I would replace the spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor at a minimum. Then have him look at replacing the fluids and filters.

I have no clue he came to the house with another car said he just bought the mustange it needed air in the tire thats y he wasnt on it and he didnt tell me the year but im guessing a 97 to an 04 maybe not sure tho and thats what i figured spark plug wires spark plugs fuel line getting air or something

'97 or newer has ignition coils. Check engine light on? Scan for codes. Could be throttle or timing related.
