why wont my toyota corolla start, after the engine gets hot?

i have a 1981 toyota corolla 2-door, rear wheel drive automatic, 1.8 engine.. Starts fine when its not hot, and has had chance to cool down

Check the thermostat make sure it is not stuck open or closed if it is stuck open or closed it will allow the engine to get hot
