2014 camry le A/C

Asked by GuruSYL1N May 16, 2019 at 06:18 PM about the Toyota Camry

Question type: General

A/C works on and off but mostly off since last year. Only 35k miles.  Now i have
40k miles and it still is crazy. When it gets warm, I noticed the outside air
switches on when i put it on body/feet or just feet, I can't shut off outside air
switch! is this electrical? fuse? Do i just need freon?

I would start by checking freon gas. If it's too low the compressor will not kick in

Thanks so much. I called mechanic and mentioned the outside air switch. Definitely getting outside air and a/c but mostly warm air. There's no noise. I just had freon and dye put in but go back this week and hope he can fix it and won't be too expensive. I bought this car new and still paying for it!! So distressing.
