Well no it's not normal to have black smoke, soot or particulates collect under your car. It may be running too rich and the black smoke is unburnt fuel. Take a good look at your engine and make sure no hoses have fallen off ....the PCV or anything. That catches attention that it is 'all under the car" and possibly coming from someplace other than the tail pipe. Also Michael T. educated us a few days ago about the amount of sulfur in gasoline, that can cause black soot. Maybe try changing where you buy gas, buy name brand quality gas (no, all gasoline is not equal). The A/C ..no clue what that hiss may be but if it works well not anything to be concerned with. No CEL on?

DavidH25 and tennisshoes have good ideas. If you think of it this way; on a brand new car you not see any black stuff under the car... so, what you are seeing is something leaking or dripping or fuming coming out of somewhere it is not supposed to, in the engine area. You should see any obviously broken or unattached hoses or pipes or breaks in anything. Start by fixing that/them. Clean the underside as best you can, so any further leakages will show at their source and will be able to help you locate any other problems. After solving the ? engine? problems move to correction of the air conditioner. The AC unit likely is low on refrigerant, for which you can get replacement refrigerant cans from any of the national auto parts stores. Read and follow the directions on the cans. Good Luck Hope this helps
