how do you check or change transmission oil level in a jaguar x type 2.5

Asked by Jun 06, 2017 at 04:36 AM about the Jaguar X-TYPE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

transmission oil level check and oil change

1 Answer

There is no dip stick, if that is what you are looking for. There is an inspection plug at the top rear near the tail piece. Fluid is filled there until it overflows. The car needs to be level when you do this. Some have a drain plug, usually the oil is drawn out through the fill hole.
