Jag X-Type - Radio not coming on after battery disconnected...........

Asked by jdoug Aug 20, 2010 at 11:10 AM about the Jaguar S-TYPE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Had the Jag in for repair and they disconnected the battery. When I picked up the radio will not come on at ALL! I know there is a code to enter, but there is nothing on the display. Is there something that has to be reset or possibly a fuse? I'm not sure where the fuses are on the car....
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated !!!

There are some fuses on the back of radio. This are no easy task to get at. Take it back to who ever repaired it and tell them the radio now doesn't work. If you need more help let us know.

Is this one of those radios that is considered "Theft Proof"? If so, there may be a code. The number would have been in your owners manual. It is probably somewhere else on the car that is more permanent but I don't know where. Maybe the dealer has access to it.
