Grand vitara Rear axle hub and gear removal

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

i'm having trouble removing the rear axle hub. i am having trouble removing the retaining nut on the differential. i need to know if the nut was made left or right hand thread. i am going to the right, hoping to god it is not a left hand thread,or if their is another way to remove.. the BEST way if you can help.

Also,if their is a way to remove the axles without removing the nut that would be a big help too. thanks

The axle comes out after removing the four nuts that also hold the brake plate to the housing. Just remove the brake shoes and 4 nuts. Hammer the axle out using an axle puller. There is nothing inside the differential holding the axle.
