Driving difference between '94 Buick LeSabre and '99 Audi A4 1.8

Asked by EuroCarLover Jun 27, 2012 at 07:54 PM about the Audi A4

Question type: General

They have the same amount of horsepower and its the same engine. The Buick has more torque though. I
don't want to buy the A4 and have it be sluggish like the Buick. Can anyone please explain to me what
the difference is and how the A4 is better.

You are comparing a cement mixer to a motorcycle. There is nothing similar about the vehicles.

The other guys are right, there is nothing similar about those two vehicles and they do not have the same engine. The Buick should have a 3.8L V6 and is front wheel drive. The A4 has a 1.8L inline 4 and is turbocharged. The Audi could be a front wheel drive model, but most likely it has Quattro, making it all wheel drive. Some A4's have a 2.8L V6, which is also a different engine than the Buick. The A4 is a smaller, more nimble car with a differently tuned suspension. You should notice that it will handle much better than the Buick.

I agree with the other guys, the cars are completely different... I beleive that if you drive an AUDI once, you'll never to back to a buick!
