2006 jeep rubicon won't crank

Asked by Jul 16, 2017 at 08:58 PM about the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2006 jeep rubicon won't crank.  I had an issue
several months ago where it wouldn't start and
through some research found that the electronic
ignition switch was faulty in these vehicles.  The fix
for this problem was a toggle switch. Everything
has been fine until now. I pulled the ignition apart
and found that the ignition actuator pot metal
broke. Replaced both ignition lock switch and
actuator. The jeep would start but wouldn't stay
running.  I then replaced the electronic ignition
switch and battery. Still nothing.  I'm out of ideas
