Subaru Crosstrek 2014 At Oil Temp Light and ABS light On

Asked by Guru3LBY4 Jul 06, 2020 at 08:49 PM about the Subaru Crosstrek

Question type: General

Hello, could you help me figure out why the At Oil Temp and ABS
lights are flashing...I recently had my car's transmission fluid
changed at 170K miles. My mechanic told me the previous fluid
was surprisingly clean...but we still agreed to change the T fluid. A
week ago I drove to Los Angeles for 6 hours and weather temp
was about 87 degrees F. Oil level was good, and coolant level
ok...Later that week I drove from LA to Mammoth Lakes for 5
hours, and about 3.5 hours into the drive the At Oil Temp light and
ABS light came on...in about 1 hour when I was driving up the
mountains, my car started to shake a little and the RPMs started
to get stuck and car stopped accelerating to maintain 65 mph
speed, the speed didn't go higher than 45mph...as soon as I
passed the "high climb" section of the road, the RPMs became
normal and speeds changed ok... however, the lights never turned
off...and has been of for a week. I added oil a little bit since my car
eats oil a lot, even though I bought it at 0 miles from
factory...thank you so much for your suggestions of what I can
do...
