While working on my 48 CJ2a I moved the distributor while the engine was stopped. How do I set the timing when the engine doesn't run?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I moved the distributor while working on my 1948 CJ2a L 134 engine with
the engine stopped.  Now I'm not getting any spark to the plugs.  How do I
reset the timing when the engine isn't running?  I've got gas, the engine
turns over. I've gaped the plugs, installed new plug wires, set the points,
installed a new fuel filter, and a new fuel pump.  I moved the distributor
while I was doing all this work.  I should not have had it loose.  Can anyone
give me any ideas?
