Over iderling dies going into reverse

Asked by Apr 10, 2019 at 01:52 AM about the Toyota Van

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2002 Toyota estima has started to over idle or
not idle at all
Depending if it’s warmed up
Or not and when you put it in reverse it just dies.
What may be causing this any help please.

Idle problem is probably a vacuum leak. Dying when put into reverse points to dirty idle air control valve or fuel injectors, or maybe a defective O2 sensor.
