I am doing some research concerning the mini cooper and need to know what type gas and oil does it require. thanks

minicoopers are notorious for oil consumption issues, be sure to vet out a used one well before you buy.

I have a 2011 Mini Cooper John Cooper Works with the sports package (1.6 liter engine). It REQUIRES premium gas. It's a sports car so I use synthetic oil and change it every 3,000-5,000 miles. Religiously. It's not worth risking any longer.
