i drive toyota opa 2000 model with 1AZ ENGINE AND CHASSIS ACT10. IT IS NOW CONSUMING TOO MUCH FUEL FOR EXAMPLE A FULL TANK CAN ONLY DO 450KM
It should average from 12 to 13 km per liter. So you are getting only about half of that if my calculation is correct. Have you been providing regular maintenance to the car? It may need a tune up, and new air filter. The quality of fuel also influence the average consumption.Try the most simple remedy first.
i do service it regularly at 5000km intervals. at service , i change the oil, oil filter and the air filter, only changed the spark plugs at 100000km and that was in august 2017, you are right that it now gives half mileage of what it should give, how would you describe "tune up",,what are the things to be done in tune up?
A tune up consists of changing spark plugs, which you did not long ago, distributor components and spark pug cables if they are very old. I would take a look at the distributor, its components and the coil.
