2014 VW Passat turbo auto has a problem going from park to reverse. . It clicks into reverse but wont move and all the gear lights on the dash display instead of just the gear I am in.

. It clicks into reverse but wont move and all the gear lights on the dash display light up  
instead of just the gear I am in. It can be put into reverse from drive and then try reverse
but not from Park.

Also this car is probably still under its powertrain warranty.

Thanks Mark. Vehicle had been garaged for a couple of years but had been driven a bit before this started to happen. Is due for a service. as well

All gear lights on rather than just the one selected indicates fault code in the transmission control unit--
