www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Y8x9Tt6N8U -- check this out. This one has been changed from original but Yours should also have the four bolts probably hex heads and the removal tool should be in the middle console in a little clip.

1 Park your Corvette on a flat surface and lower both windows. Shut off the engine and engage the emergency brake. 2 Open the hatch and clear any items in the area so that you can store the targa top in the hatch. 3 Lower both sun visors and locate the release latches on the front corner of the targa top, behind the sun visors. Pull both release latches outward (toward the outside of the car) to unlock the front of the targa top. 4 Locate the release hatch on the back of the targa top, along the center rear edge of the top. Press the back side of the release latch to unlock the handle then press the front button on the front of the release latch to engage the handle. Pull the handle downward to unlock the rear of the targa top. 5 Stand on the driver's or passenger's side of the Corvette and firmly grasp the targa top along the side edge. Pull the target top forward and upward simultaneously. Lift off the targa top to remove it. 6 Insert the targa top in the rear hatch, lining up the outside front edges of the top with the floor latches near the front of the hatch. Line up the pins on the back of the targa top with the connectors in the rear of the hatch and press down on the back of the targa top to lock it in place. The bolts are actually Torx and you will find it much easier if you buy an inexpensive cordless screwdriver and the right size Torx bit and keep it in the console. Worked great for my 84.

Also, I have seen the jaws of life used very effectively to open these up.
