Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The tail light turned of and on by itself. Most mechanics replace the light failer box ,but  it doesn't solve the problem.

your problem is a ground either in the light socket or the wires. try to wiggle the wires at the socket see if it goes off and on. if it does replace the socket if not your going to have to find the bad connection for the ground. [but if you cant find where the problem is splice in a wire and connect to the body to create a ground]
