2001 Chrysler Neon

Asked by BearfootBill Feb 03, 2020 at 11:01 PM about the Chrysler Neon

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Got a good one for ya'll. It seems I might have a pcm on the fritz but throwing
no codes. Everything runs good except when the check engine light comes on it
will miss a bit, AGAIN no codes. When the check engine light comes on the abs
light comes on, the speedometer quits working along with the temp gauge and
the odometer shows NO BUS. I've inspected all the usual suspects, grounds,
connections and connectors, sensors. Sometimes it will work right when I
check connections or when I make a sharp stop or turn key on and off while
running but after a couple of minutes the check engine light comes back on,
again it throws no codes.
What do ya'll think.

NO BUS means one or more of the computer modules is not talking to the ECU. That is usually due to a wire/harness or connector issue, and on an older car like yours corrosion is a major factor. A shop or dealership can perform a live scan on vehicle while driving it and see when/where the problem occurs.

My Chrysler neon 2.0 don't wnt to start and the ECU don't want reset wt can be the problem
